Laser cutting is an industrial manufacturing process that utilizes the output of a high-powered laser to cut and machine materials, such as stainless steel, and aluminum. The laser cuts the material by vaporizing or melting the material at the point on which it is focused. Thus by moving the focus point of the laser, the material is cut. Typically, a computer controls the motion of the laser cutting head. Some of the common types of lasers used in this process are CO2 lasers, neodymium lasers, and neodymium yttrium-aluminum-garnet laser.

  • Linear Actuators
A linear actuator is a device used to apply force in a linear manner, which is essentially the force applied along a straight line. This linear motion is achieved using different techniques, and the most common ones include mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic. In the mechanical actuator, the linear motion is achieved by converting the rotational motion of a handle or a knob into a linear motion using screws or gears. The hydraulic actuator consists of a hollow cylinder with a piston inserted in it, and the linear motion of the piston is achieved by alternately pressurizing and depressurizing with hydraulic fluid on opposite sides of the piston, consequently achieving linear motion for any object attached to the piston. The pneumatic actuator is similar to the hydraulic actuator, but the hydraulic fluid used is compressed air.

  • Laser Machining
Laser machining, also known as laser cutting, uses a high-powered laser for cutting or etching materials into the desired shapes. The cutting process involves focusing the laser at a desired point on the surface of the material, which then melts or vaporizes the material, producing a cut edge with exceptional quality. By directing the movement of the laser, typically controlled by computers, the desired shapes can be obtained. Some common types of lasers used in this process are CO2, neodymium (Nd), and neodymium yttrium-aluminum-garnet (Nd-YAG) lasers. Better precision, less labor intensity and reduced contamination of work pieces are the main benefits of laser machining over mechanical cutting.

  • Lead Screws
A lead screw is a type of screw fastener that is essentially designed to help translate radial motion into linear motion. This function of lead screws, also known as power or transmission screws, has found uses in a number of applications, including presses, vises, jacks, and other devices that require the translation of radial motion into linear motion, such as machine tools. They are generally classified based on their thread geometry, and the common types of leadscrew threads are buttress threads, square threads, and ACME thread forms.

  • Liquid Pumps
Liquid handling industrial pumps are distinguished by their material of construction, the media they pump, the industries or applications they serve, their pressure and flow levels, and physical orientation. Their commonality is that they all move liquids.

  • Linear Feeders
Linear feeders are part feeders employed to convey components to successive operations performed on specific machines in various industries including electrical, mechanical, cosmetic, optical, and pharmaceutical. These feeders are simple of design and surpass their counterparts in advantages. They enable easy fastening of parts in the rail without disturbance to the product alignment while the material of the rail is open to selection to suit requirements. Large-dimensioned feeders of this class are used to manage bulk products and are also used in those applications that do not necessitate orientation.
